DIN 125-1-1990 specifies the A-type flat washers for use with hexagonal bolts and nuts, with a hardness not exceeding 250HV.

1. Production Grade and Hardness: The standard details the production grade A washers, which have a hardness requirement of up to 250HV, suitable for bolts with a property class of 8.8 or lower.
2.  Dimensions and Types: There are two types of washers, Type A without chamfer and Type B with an internal chamfer. The size range for Type A washers is from 1.7mm to 37mm, and for Type B washers, it is from 5.3mm to 165mm.
3. Materials: Washers can be made of steel or stainless steel, with hardness grades divided into 140HV and 200HV, with a hardness range between 140HV and 250HV. Stainless steel groups include A2 and A4, F1, C1, and C4. According to the standard, washers can also be made of non-ferrous metals or other materials.
4. Hardness Grades: When the height h of the washer does not exceed 0.5mm, the hardness grade is HV2; when h exceeds 0.5mm, the hardness grade is HV10.
5. Dimensional Tolerances: For example, for a washer with Φ119, the minimum value of dc in the standard text is 188.15mm, but the corresponding deviation should be 1.85mm, which means the actual minimum value is 200mm - 1.85mm = 198.15mm. This is based on the DIN522 standard, where when h is less than 4 and the product grade is A, the dimensional tolerance for d2 is h15, and the corresponding deviation for dc at 200mm is 1.85mm.
